Childcare Policy
Effective from: 1 August 2026
1. Our Commitment
Pure Nature Eco Safari Ltd. warmly welcomes families travelling with children. We believe that introducing children to Africa's extraordinary wildlife, landscapes, and cultures creates unforgettable memories and fosters a lifelong appreciation for nature and conservation.
The safety, comfort, and wellbeing of our youngest guests are always our highest priority.
2. Age Requirements
Some safari activities are subject to minimum age requirements established by national parks and wildlife authorities.
These include, but are not limited to:
- Gorilla Trekking – minimum age 15 years
- Chimpanzee Trekking – minimum age 12 years (subject to the regulations of the respective park)
- Certain walking safaris and adventure activities may also have age restrictions.
These regulations are mandatory and cannot be waived.
3. Parental Responsibility
Parents or legal guardians are fully responsible for the supervision, behaviour, safety, and wellbeing of their children throughout the safari.
Children must never be left unattended during game drives, boat cruises, guided walks, or while staying at lodges unless a professional childcare service has been arranged.
4. Safety During Safari Activities
For the safety of all guests, children must follow the instructions of guides, rangers, lodge staff, and park authorities at all times.
Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring that children:
- remain seated during game drives unless instructed otherwise by the guide;
- keep noise to a minimum when observing wildlife;
- never approach, feed, or attempt to touch wild animals;
- respect all safety regulations in national parks, lodges, and camps.
5. Accommodation
Many of our partner lodges offer family rooms, interconnecting rooms, or child-friendly facilities.
Where available, we will recommend accommodation that best suits the needs of your family.
Please note that some lodges may have age restrictions or occupancy limits for certain room categories.
6. Health Requirements
Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring that their children:
- meet all applicable vaccination and health requirements;
- carry any necessary medication;
- are physically able to participate in the planned activities.
We strongly recommend consulting your family doctor or a travel health specialist before travelling.
7. Meals and Special Dietary Requirements
We are happy to accommodate children's dietary requirements, food allergies, or special meal requests whenever possible.
Please inform us at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made with our accommodation partners.
8. Childcare Services
Professional babysitting or childcare services are available only at selected lodges and are subject to availability.
If childcare services are required, please let us know before confirming your booking so that we can check availability.
9. Wildlife Encounters
Wild animals behave unpredictably.
Parents and children must always maintain a safe distance and strictly follow the instructions of guides and park authorities.
Pure Nature Eco Safari Ltd. cannot accept responsibility for incidents resulting from failure to follow safety instructions.
10. Our Family-Friendly Approach
We are committed to creating safe, enjoyable, and memorable safari experiences for families.
Our team is always happy to advise parents on choosing suitable itineraries, activities, and accommodation to ensure that every family enjoys a safari tailored to their needs.
